What web browser do you use?

It is difficult to recommend a web browser, as there are negative aspects or news about most of the major web browsers.

The most popular browser when looking at the usage stats is Google’s Chrome browser… but I do not recommend it due to not being able to run the full version of Ublock Origin advertising blocker. In my experience, people using Chrome have been more susceptible to scams and malware.

For years, I highly recommended the Firefox browser. I still use it, but not exclusively.

I also use the Brave browser and I mostly like it. It is available for free at:

I am also really liking what I see about the Vivaldi web browser, but have not tested it much yet. It is also free and come with email and feed reader (RSS) features.

If that’s you, just reply by email and let me know your choice between the laptop or desktop computer. Linux is the recommended operating system, but Windows 11 can be installed (though not officially supported by Microsoft on these computers).

If you didn’t win this month, you are still in the drawing to win in upcoming months. All you have to do is remain subscribed and check your emails from me to see if you won the giveaway drawing and reply to claim.

People from outside the La Crosse area are eligible to win. If you have a United States mailing address, I can ship the computer to you. If you are in the general La Crosse, Vernon or Crawford counties in Wisconsin, I can schedule to deliver the computer right to you.
