Announcing the March winner

I was a bit delayed in sending out the announcement, but did do the drawing at the end of March and just announcing it now. April has been busy for me!

The winner of the March Orange Computer giveaway is:

dkhairb***@**l.com

Some characters hidden with asterisks to not reveal the exact email address.

If that’s you, just reply by email and let me know your choice between the laptop or desktop computer and between Windows or Linux for the operating system.

If you didn’t win this month, you are still in the drawing to win in upcoming months. All you have to do is remain subscribed and check your emails from me to see if you won the giveaway drawing and reply to claim.

People from outside the La Crosse area are eligible to win. If you have a United States mailing address, I can ship the computer to you. If you are in the general La Crosse or Viroqua, Wisconsin, areas I can schedule to deliver the computer right to you.

Here are the two computers that the winner can choose from:

I do have more of the HP EliteDesk mini computers for purchase, but do not have any more of the HP ProBook 450 G3. I will be getting other models of HP EliteBook laptop in soon.

You can also take a look at what else is available:

Windows 10 support ending in 2025

Windows 10 is still supported by Microsoft until October 2025, so about a year and a half yet. So when people ask me what version of Windows to get, either Windows 10 or Windows 11, I usually recommend getting Windows 11 now as we are getting closer to the cut off of support for Windows 10.

In the last month, I’ve also helped people move from old, unsupported versions of macOS to Linux as a replacement. This also works if you don’t want to move to Windows 11. Depending on how you use your computer, Linux could be a great upgrade from Windows 10 or an older version of macOS.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions about Linux.

Until next time,

— Matthew from Orange Computer
